The VHF instrument is a simulated version of the Rockwell Collins TALON RCU-8150 VHF Control Panel. It is intended for training and simulation purposes only.
The front appearance is a high fidelity duplicate of the original flight instrument, reproduced accurately in every detail, including the display and the front panel controls. A high quality dot matrix LCD faithfully reproduces the alpha-numeric character set as produced by the original product. The VHF conforms to the size, shape and dimensions of the Rockwell Collins unit. It mounts to a simulated cockpit panel using 4 Dzus fasteners. The unit is ruggedly built to operate in the most demanding simulation environments.
